Optimize® Gold

Better Feed Starts in the Field
LCO Promoter Technology™ for Alfalfa
Optimize® Gold Promoter Technology™ for alfalfa is unlike any other seed treatment available for alfalfa production today. No other crop input can initiate the growth process earlier to give alfalfa a stronger, faster start, resulting in healthier plants, higher yields, and bigger returns at the end of the year. And it's all because of the LCO molecule.

LCO (Lipo-chitooligosaccharide) Promoter Technology is a patented, naturally occurring molecule that activates the cascade of identified plant genes within the alfalfa plant to begin and enhance cell division and growth in both the root and shoot, immediately and independent of weather and soil conditions. This early-season activity advances
alfalfa plant development, resulting in stronger, healthier plants that are better able to handle environmental stresses throughout the season, and more productive at the end of the season.

Early season plant health resulting from Optimize Gold provides season-long benefits:

  • Improved root system development ~ Better nutrient and water uptake

  • Earlier nodule initiation ~ Enables earlier and enhanced nitrogen fixation

  • Better plant health ~ Protects plants from disease pressure

  • Improved stand establishment ~ Leads to higher yield

  • Higher return on investment through:
    ~ Increased forage yield
    ~ Increased Crude protein (CP)
~ Increased Relative feed value (RFV)

Convenient Seed Treatment Compatibility

Optimize Gold is applied as a liquid by your alfalfa seed company and is allowed to dry on seed. Treatment is done at the same time as fungicides and coating products. It can be used in combination with both Apron XL® and Allegiance® FL.
For best results, it is recommended that alfalfa seed be inoculated with Nitragin Gold (Rhizobium meliloti) as a second treatment step.
