High Resistance to Fusarium wilt

Adaptation

El Grande Diez is recommended for any area currently growing non-dormant alfalfas. Parental clones of
El Grande Diez were selected for resistance to Root and Crown diseases, pest resistance and very fast regrowth.

Top Yield Performance

El Grande Diez
was selected to yield and persist in moderately saline soils. El Grande Diez will have better initial stands and persistence in problem soils, out yielding other non-tolerant varieties.

Broad Spectrum Pest Resistance

El Grande Diez has a wide range of pest resistance; the combination of these traits will insure higher yields and longer persistence in a wide range of non-dormant environments.

El Grande Diez also has the added protection from the major aphids such as the pea aphid, the blue aphid, and spotted alfalfa aphids.

Southern Root Knot Nematode

Nematodes reduce yield and thin stands. Symptoms include seedling death, stunting and thinned stands. Thinning due to nematode damage usually appears in circular areas. Produces with irrigated production or lighter porous soils will benefit from
El Grande Diez's protection from Southern Root Knot Nematode...

Fast Regrowth

El Grande Diez has very fast regrowth for aggressive cutting schedules. El Grande Diez is classified as a fall dormancy 10 and is more non-dormant than CUF 101.
